The Assistant Producer is the “behind-the-scenes hero” of the morning show.
They support the team, ensure the broadcast runs smoothly, and keep content alive before, during, and after the show.
– Prepare rundown (show flow, segments, topics)
– Research local, national, and global news
– Identify viral trends from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube
– Technical checks (automation systems, phones, WhatsApp, microphones)
– Prepare audio elements (jingles, teasers, promos)
– Organization & foresight (always one step ahead)
– Creativity in content selection
– Clear communication with presenters
– Time management (songs, ads, breaks)
– Handle listener calls, WhatsApp, social comments
– Provide real-time notes to presenters
– Basic on-the-fly audio editing
